INDY RACING LEAGUE INDYCAR SERIES
Will drive the No. 02 McDonald’s Dallara-Honda-Firestone race car in his first season in the IndyCar Series and with Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing (NHLR)…It will be his fifth overall season in a major, US-based open wheel series after four seasons in the Champ Car World Series.

24 HOURS OF DAYTONA
Competed in the Rolex 24 at Daytona for the second time…Co-drove a Ford Riley for Michael Shank Racing with Graham Rahal, Oswaldo Negri and Mark Patterson…Started from pole and overcame several minor problems while running in the lead pack until Wilson hit curbing that led to extensive repairs but the team came back to finish sixth.

CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES
Drove to his second consecutive runner-up position in the season ending standings after winning one race (Netherlands), two poles (Portland, San Jose) and finishing on the podium five times in 14 events for RuSPORT/RSports…Set the fastest lap of the race once (San Jose) and led six events (Houston, Portland, Mont-Tremblant, Edmonton, Netherlands, Australia)…Became the first driver to win the Greg Moore Legacy Award more than once when he earned back-to-back honors in 2006 and 2007…Struggled in the Las Vegas season opener where he started eighth and retired in 14th after 20 laps due to a driveshaft failure…Qualified seventh in Long Beach and earned a fourth place finish with a pass on the final lap…Started third in Houston and quickly made his way to the front of the field where he led for 12 laps until a punctured tire forced him to pit early and he ultimately finished in 10th place…Had his best weekend to date in Portland where he led qualifying on Friday and Saturday to earn pole in a rain soaked session. Built a 15-second lead over Bourdais until the Frenchman later caught and passed him after he led a total of 51 laps…Started eighth in Cleveland and was in podium contention but a late fuel stop reduced him to a fourth place finish…Started fourth, led three laps and finished fifth in Mont-Tremblant…Qualified on the front row at Toronto but an early spin in the race sent him to the back. Drove through the field to finish third and get his second podium finish of the season…Qualified third and finished second in Edmonton…Earned his second pole of the season in San Jose but contact from behind with Dan Clarke under yellow forced him to the pits for 20 laps of repairs. He was able to get back out, and earn a bonus point for fastest race lap and finish 13th…Started 10th and finished 8th at Road America…Started and finished fifth in Belgium after a late race move for third damaged a tire…Started on the front row in the Netherlands and took the lead after a good start. Led 39 laps en route to his only win of the season…Started fifth in Australia and finished second for his fifth podium finish this season…Started fifth in Mexico City finale but finished tenth to earn his second consecutive runner-up finish in the overall standings with 281 points.

CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES
Drove to a second place finish in series standings with one win (Edmonton), two poles (Toronto, Mexico City) and a total of seven podium finishes in 13 starts of the 14-race season for RuSPORT (did not compete in Australia due to a broken scaphoid bone in his right wrist)…Set the fastest lap of the race once (Edmonton), and led seven of the 13 events in which he competed …Started the season with a second place finish in Long Beach after starting second…Qualified seventh and finished fifth in Houston…Started second in Monterrey, Mexico, led 28 laps and finished second to reclaim second in the standings…Started fourth on the one-mile oval in Milwaukee and led the second most laps of 61 and finished second…Qualified fourth and finished second in Portland…Started the Cleveland race third but retired in 13th place after contact due to a steering arm malfunction late in the race…Started from pole in Toronto but finished fourth and dropped to third in the standings after battling handling issues in the race…Qualified third but won the Edmonton race after leading twice for a total of 28 laps and setting the fastest race lap to regain second in the point standings…Qualified his backup car 12th in San Jose after a pre-qualifying crash but recovered on race day to finish third and maintain his second place rank…Qualified third and led two laps in his home race in Denver but finished eighth after struggling with the car setup on alternate race tires in the final stint and dropped to a third place standing. Was the team’s first event of the season with only one entry as teammate Cristiano da Matta was seriously injured in a test session in Elkhart Lake, Wis.…Started third but finished 14th in Montreal after he was penalized for stopping in a closed pit on Lap 31 and later made contact with a retaining wall on Lap 47 of 67…Started sixth and finished fifth in Elkhart Lake…Did not compete in Australia after breaking the scaphoid bone in his right wrist in Friday’s pre-qualifying warm-up but maintained his third place rank…Started from pole in the Mexico City finale despite broken wrist and swapped the lead with Bourdais many times but finished second to the Frenchman, both in the race and the season-ending championship, with a total of 298 points…Selected as the recipient of the Greg Moore Legacy Award due to on-track talent and dynamic personality.

24 HOURS OF DAYTONA
Competed in the Rolex 24 at Daytona for the first time. Drove a Riley-Lexus Daytona Prototype for Michael Shank Racing with co-drivers A.J. Allmendinger, Oswaldo Negri and Mark Patterson. Started fifth and finished second.

 
 
  2005

CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES
Moved to RuSPORT for the second season in the series and earned his first two victories (Toronto, Mexico City) and poles (Portland, Mexico City) en route to a third place finish to NHR drivers Bourdais and Servia…Ranked second (two-way tie) in the series for most victories (two) and ranked third for most poles (two) and laps led (123)…Earned a total of eight top-five finishes and four front-row starts in 13 events…Earned fourth-place finishes in each of the year’s first three races in Long Beach, Monterrey and Milwaukee and appeared to have a win in hand in the fourth, running away from the field in Portland before a oil pump failure ended his day…Earned his first win just two starts later in Toronto and finished on the podium again in Round 10 in Montreal before he closed the year with a win from pole in the Mexico City finale and finished third in the championship with a total of 265 points.

 
 
  2004 CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES
Competed in rookie season with Mi-Jack/Conquest Racing…Finished sixth in debut in Long Beach, gaining a race-high five positions…Finished in the top six in three of the first four races, then followed that up with a career-best second-place starting spot in Cleveland…Finished in the top-eight in five of the final seven, including a career-best fourth-place run in the Mexico City season finale…Finished 11th in the point standings and second in the Rookie-of-the-Year competition.

24 HOURS OF LE MANS & 12 HOURS OF SEBRING
Competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race for Jan Lammers Racing with Ralph Firman and Tom Coronel. Qualified tenth and battled gearbox problems which led to a crash by Firman and ultimate retirement with 1.5-hours to go…Competed in the 12 Hours of Sebring for Taurus Sport with Phil Andrews and Milka Duno in the LMP1 class. Wilson charged from 15th to 7th on the opening lap but the car retired in 22nd place due to gearbox failure after running sixth.
 
 
  2003 FORMULA ONE
Entered Formula 1 with Minardi before signing with Jaguar Racing for the last five races of the season, starting with the German Grand Prix…Scored first F1 championship point at the U.S. Grand Prix.
 
 
  2002

TELEFONICA WORLD SERIES
Finished fourth overall in the inaugural season of the Telefonica World Series by Nissan competing for Racing Engineering…Won at Valencia and Interlagos, earned podium finishes in six other events of 18…Competitors included Zonta and Montagny among others.

CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES
Tested a Champ Car for Newman/Haas Racing on October 8 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway oval.

FORMULA ONE
Tested for Minardi at Donington Park.

12 HOURS OF SEBRING
Started tenth and finished sixth in the LMP1 class for Team Ascari with co-drivers Ben Collins and Christian Vann.

Champion – FIA INTERNATIONAL FORMULA 3000
Became first British driver to win the FIA International F3000 championship…Broke the record for most points in a season (71) and podium finishes (10) as well as setting a new winning margin from the runner-up (36 points) during the 12 race season…Won at Interlagos, A1 Ring and Hungaroring as well as won two poles (Spain, Budapest) …Competitors included Bourdais, Webber, Pizzonia and Manning among others.

FORMULA ONE
Tested with Jordan Grand Prix at Silverstone and Mugello.

FIA GT CHAMPIONSHIP
Third in a Coca-Cola Porsche GT2 with Tomas Enge at Magny Cours in first endurance race.

Finished fifth in the FIA International F3000 championship in second season with Nordic Racing…Earned points in five races including podium finishes at Silverstone and A1 Ring. Competitors included Bruno Junqueira, Fernando Alonso, Sebastien Bourdais, Tomas Enge, Darren Manning, and Franck Montagny among others.

Won the BRDC Chris Bristow Trophy, given to the most promising driver to race at Silverstone.
